Turkcell introduces TV+ PRO, its new Android TV Box
Turkcell has introduced its new Android TV Box, TV+ PRO. Compared to its previously released Android TV device, TV+ Ready, TV+ PRO stands out with its license support and more advanced hardware. TV+ PRO comes in a box similar to Mi Box S, whereas TV+ Ready was a stick that could be hidden behind the TV. TV+ PRO is powered by Amlogic S905x4 processor, supports 4K resolution, and comes with Android 11 (Google TV) operating system. Thanks to its licensed Android TV, we can download apps such as Netflix and Disney+ from Google Play Store and watch them in the highest image quality. Since TV+ Ready did not have license support, Netflix could not be installed. A keyboard, mouse, and gamepad can be connected to TV+ PRO via USB or Bluetooth. It supports Bluetooth 5.0 technology and has a USB 3.0 port. Thanks to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) support, high speeds can be achieved in wireless connections. The TV+ PRO remote control has shortcuts for TV+, Netflix, YouTube, and Google Assistant. A numeric keypad is also included in the TV+ application to facilitate switching between TV channels. TV+ Pro will be available for sale in commitment-free, commitment-based, billable, or credit card-based purchase or rental models. Users of all operators can obtain TV+ PRO from Turkcell stores and online. The upfront price of the device has not been announced yet. When purchased in installments with Financell for 3 months, it costs 2,268 TL.
